The Role
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this 12-month fixed term parental leave contract will see you work as part of a small team to manage a varied portfolio of managers and drive change at an internal level. The HR Business Partner plays a key role in partnering with people leaders to provide guidance, coaching and advice on all aspects of the employee life cycle. The role will also involve effective management of organisational HR assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comprehend, interpret and ensure the application of all relevant Awards, legislation and organiation policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the implementation of multiple crucial HR projects across the organisation
  • Provide support to influence the adoption of good human resource practices across the wider organisation
  • Support worforce planning activities
  • Help drive initiatives that focus on building a positive work culture including several organisation wide change initiatives
  • Collaborate with payroll and WHS colleagues

About You
A tertiary HR qualification and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar human resources role. Applicants with experience in medium scale organisations that are familiar with awards, legislation and enterprise bargaining agreements will be looked upon favourably. To succeed in this role, you will have excellent interpersonal skills with an open mind capable of analysing and problem-solving business situations in a pragmatic and time efficient manner. You will also be able to work as part of a team or independently, completing multiple HR projects. Successful candidates will be self-motivated with superior written and verbal communication skills capable of demonstrating their influence to drive change in the organisation.
