Working closely with the Financial Controller and CFO, you will be part of a team of dedicated accounting and finance professionals. This is a varied role supporting the production of financial statements, complying with ASX, ASIC and Trust / Funder requirements. You will be responsible for managing the financial close processes as well as external reporting obligations. This role presents a great opportunity to display your commercial acumen, understanding of external reporting requirements and team management skills.
  
Responsibilities include:  

  • Support activities associated with Annual and half yearly ASX reporting including applying accounting standards and ASX reporting requirements
  • Work closely with external auditor to support external audit process
  • Prepare technical memo’s including research and analysis of relevant technical accounting issues
  • Assist in the production of accounting policy documents
  • Preparation of other financial reporting requirements for regulators, investors and key stakeholders
  • Work on special projects including transaction related work, valuations and divestitures
  • Manage a team of 5 direct reports including relevant performance management activities

  
This role will suit an Accountant experienced in External Reporting who is adept at dealing with external entities and understanding their requirements. You are a skilled technical accountant, who displays commercial acumen and excellent communication skills. You are an inspirational manager, who can speak to your experiences leading a team, and you are adept at building relationships. Qualified with an Accounting degree, you also hold a CPA / CIMA or CA. It is essential you have gained some of your accounting experience in the Financial Services sector, and trust accounting knowledge is ideal.
